Joe Figueras
President, Chief Executive Officer and Director

Joe Figueras is Founder, President, CEO, and a Director of A Science and Art Corporation. He sits on the board of ES Computing Systems Corporation. His education is from Columbia University with a major in electrical engineering and computer science.

Figueras founded A Science and Art Corporation in 2000, setting forth a new company with visions to build it into an international integrated web enabled client service. A Science and Art Corporation and its management team have received awards for excellence in financial management and project management. Among these awards is included the Making A Difference given by Target Corporation.

Figueras' personal interests include music; special performances with Al Jarreau, Gary Busey, Shelby Flint & Willie Colon; cooking, especially Italian and Vegetarian cuisines; collecting fine wines, notably Buena Vista. In addition, he is a jogger, jogging a three to six-mile run daily.


Augustina Beltran
Vice President and Chief Technical Officer

Augustina Beltran serves as A Science and Art Corporation's Vice President and CTO and brings over 20 years experience in engineering large-scale enterprise systems. Ms. Beltran's background is focused on deploying clustered solutions for high availability computing. Overseeing the development for IBM, Ms. Beltran was the lead scientist in the research and development division for VSAM cluster products, which included support for all IBM platforms. During her 11 years with IBM, she worked as part of the Competency Center implementing internal and external IBM seats around the world. While working in Germany, Ms. Beltran worked closely with IBM to develop a solution for IBM high availability. Ms. Beltran holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois.


Amy Sirius
Director of Project Office

Amy Sirius serves as A Science and Art Corporation's Director of Project Office, comprising Solution Architecture, Project Management and Customer Relationship Management. The Project Office organization is responsible for custom technical design and costing; migration and integration of new customers into A Science and Art Corporation; and ongoing relationship management including Service Level Agreement (SLA) tracking and reporting.

Ms. Sirius joined A Science and Art Corporation as Director of Business Solutions within the company's Marketing team, and was responsible for leading the creation of service offerings. She managed multi-disciplinary teams to develop and document supportable offerings and achievable SLAs. She began her career at CSC, in the area of outsourcing services. Her focus on applications outsourcing began in 1998 with a strategy assessment for a major telecommunications company. She left CSC to become a founder of Best Cybernetic Corporation, where she managed IBM customer accounts.


Teresa DeToro
Vice President of Strategic

Sales Teresa DeToro serves as A Science and Art Corporation's vice president of Strategic Sales and brings over 8 years experience in the high technology and consulting industries, including outsourcing, technical training, product assurance and quality testing, as well as business translation from Spanish to English. Prior to joining A Science and Art Corporation, Ms. DeToro was a founding member at Best Cybernetic Corporation and was responsible at BCC for Solution Delivery and Design. As a Director, she also had the responsibility of managing the development of Applications Service Provider (ASP), Application Hosting, and Application Management solutions and the pre-sales activities for eCommerce services.

For the past 5 years, Ms. DeToro has held various senior level management consulting positions focused on eCommerce and Web installations, business development, and designing and leading the development of industry specific service offerings. Ms. DeToro holds an B.A and an M.A in Business Management.


Gabriela Rivera
Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Gabriela Rivera joined A Science and Art Corporation to manage the company's sales and marketing programs. Ms. Rivera has more than twenty-three years experience in the information technology industry, with responsibilities ranging from all aspects of sales to applications development and operations. She also has eleven years experience in sales management and sales in the software industry as well as IT services, resulting in over $3M in contract revenues.

Prior to joining A Science and Art Corporation, Ms. Rivera was Executive Vice President and Corporate Officer of Documentum, a leading provider of content management solutions, with worldwide responsibilities in sales, consulting, partner management, and training, generating revenue growth of nearly 100% over a two-year period. She was also one of the founding members of CSC Hi-Tech Unit, a West Coast based team with revenues of $2M/yr in 1992, growing to $5M in 1999. At CSC, she managed and led a broad range of sales and consulting engagements that addressed all aspects of IT service delivery, including: consulting, e-business, traditional IT outsourcing, and business process management.
